ETERNAL DIRGE “Khaos Magik” LP

Early American style of death metal blended with Teutonic thrash, different to any other European death metal band of the time.
ETERNAL DIRGE’s second album from 1996 “Khaos Magick”, showed a similar contempt for contemporary metal trends. There were no concessions to the more popular metallic sounds of that time; groove metal, melodic death metal, black metal. Eternal Dirge were a genuine band with their own sound.
Khaos Magick is the most dark yet atmospherically album from their catalogue. Somewhere comparable to early Septic Flesh or Rotting Christ & Necromantia with the dark keyboard sounds and repetitive riffs or even Nocturnus. And of course the heavily rooted German Death and thrash metal influences.
